I stood on my deck and called to "Mr. Tux", that black and white fur ball of a cat. Seemed to me like he would want to get in out of the rain - and avoid those hawks I could see out hunting along the ridge. The lightning was getting ever closer and I looked down and could see my hands clutching the iron rail of the deck's railing. "OOOOhh . . . I am going to get struck," I am thinking. I wished Keith was home already, because he loves to watch a "lightning show", and his attitude would improve my lack of courage.
So, just as I let go of the railing, a bright flash and boom came at the same time. . . . (Just sheet lightning in the sky). "Whew". Saved!
It was wonderful experiencing the invigorating rain pouring down, the whoosh of the wind, and, of course, the great lightning and thunder. A "show" I watched while standing in the archway between the Kitchen and Living Room. I LOVE WATCHING THE WEATHER FROM TOP OF THIS HILL!
